Student Pilot Training
We want every pilot to become confident in his or her skills, and know his or her own abilities. Our training and teaching emphasizes building confidence so each student is learning at their comfort level.
This is the first phase of becoming a pilot and we are here to help and guide you each step of the way. The first step is ground school and you have two choices 1) attend our ground school or 2) attend an online one. See more info and specific requirements here.
Always remember the idea is to have fun while learning.

Private Pilot Training
The Private Pilot License (PPL) will give you the freedom to fly as you like, with passengers, to just about any location, day or night. Earning a PPL certificate can be a great way to start your career as a pilot, or it may be the first step in a lifetime of simply flying for fun. Part of the training teaches emergency procedures, fuel management, etc. For more click here
Instrument Training
Hone your skills. By learning instruments flying you become a safer pilot and you can reach much farther. That overcast sky? No problem, I am an IFR pilot and we will attend the big event later today.
The knowledge you gain, and the experience you gain through earning an instrument rating is the best investment in time and money you will ever undertake. For specifics see here

Commercial Training
Here you are taking your first steps towards making flying a paying career.
You will be introduced to new maneuvers, new requirements, higher standards of flying, in order to master your aircraft. Until now the FAA gave you a lot of leeway, from hereon in the tolerances are much smaller.

Flight Review, Currency Training
A safe pilot never takes anything for granted, therefore, maintaining your skills and knowledge, keeps you and your family safe when flying. Flight Review and Currency Training could be the best investment in safety you ever make.
As an example, the value of being introduced to an unfamiliar area and learning what to expect before you get there, e.g. Catalina airport -a challenge to most pilots- cannot be overstated. No pass or fail – just more practice and learning.

Complex, high-horsepower training
These add-ons are great to have once you are ready to take on faster or more maneuverable aircraft. Some things we discuss, and practice, are different types of flow for emergency procedures, the constant speed prop, turbo charged aircraft, high horse power transition, and retractable landing gear systems, GUMPS!
Congrats for taking that next step.

F.A.Q.
There are no dumb questions
The cost is for renting an airplane and an instructor. How many hours are needed to learnt to fly on your own, and get your private pilot license is very individual. Your instructor will discuss this with you and make a preliminary outline to plot your goal – the private pilot’s license.
Again, it depends. It depends on you: how much time can you devote to your studying and your actual flying each month or week? Then it depends on how you understand and are able to execute what you have learned. Safety is always first, and your instructor will not let you go faster or further than is safe.
